I am obsessed with the The Witcher game series by CD Projekt, which is a Polish video game developer. The game series and soon-to-be Netflix special is based of a series of books by Andrzej Sapkowski. This is my most favorite RPG game series in current existence, so of course I had to read the origin story.
This book which Goodreads refers to as .5 in the series is a collection of scattered short stories that are loosely related in timeframe. I was not expecting that. I thought it would feel more connected, but instead the story jumps around from one adventure to the next. What I loved about this format was that I was introduced to Dandelion and Yennefer, two main characters in the game series. I learned a lot about their origination and how Geralt the Witcher came to know them.
If you love monster hunting adventures with protagonists that have a deadpan swagger and a overly masculine sex appeal then this is the story for you. On the other hand, I should say this could be the beginning of a beautiful love affair for you, as Geralt is my fantasy boyfriend.
Take a chance on this novel and enter the world of the Witcher, which is full of sexy ladies, muscle bound fighters and a deep fantastical story.
You can find the story on Amazon in multiple formats.
