Loren The Amazon Princess – Video Game

loren Loren The Amazon Princess reminds me of the old school RPG games. While there is combat, it is the story that propels the players onward. You play an elf servant to the Princess, who embarks on a perilous mission to find her mother who is missing. Because of the style of the game, it has to have a strong story. And while in some ways the story is a bit light, I still am enjoying learning about the characters and seeing them evolve. There is romance to be had with various other team mates and friendship along the way. The game tries to capture some of the modern day RPG relationship development and style (i.e. Dragon Age), probably because it adds a lot to the story. Through the romance you can learn more of the histories of your companions. Also, you learn about the character you control.

So far I am enjoying the game. It does not keep me up at night dreaming about it. Nor will I probably replay it. But overall I think the team at Winter Wolves has done a pretty cool job with this game. I enjoy it enough to keep playing and I enjoy seeing the characters evolve. It is another choose your own adventure in that based on your responses to certain events, characters will learn to love or hate you and you can make a good situation bad or vice versa. This feature really makes this game so much more enjoyable and keeps me motivated to come back.

The game is played on PC and Mac. It is accessible through Steam ā€” a gaming client for $19.99-24.99, or the developers site for $24.99. You can also purchase through Amazon for your Android phone for $14.99.

Here is also a free to play demo from Amazon.

About the Game:

Loren The Amazon Princess is a fantasy epic combining intricate turn-based battles with a heroic tale of overcoming evil — with a twist! In this tale, you play as a loyal servant of the hero rather than the hero herself.

Travel by Princess Loren’s side as she searches for her lost mother, the Queen of the Amazons. Guide her choices and act as her valiant defender, meeting many colorful characters along the way. As the journey progresses, everyone will grow and change ā€” character development in games isn’t dead! It’s also impossible to see all the content in just one playthrough, with so many ways to customize the characters.

Hardcore role-playing games with replay value are becoming rarer in today’s age of simplification for the masses. The developers of the hit title Planet Stronghold have dedicated themselves to keeping old-school RPGs alive through this new adventure.
